As an institutional investment firm dedicated to private credit, I’m pleased to share with you that we recently onboarded a new institutional investor. We issued a new series of bonds to a European Bank which enables us to invest more money to buy German consumer loans originated by auxmoney. Auxmoney* is comfortably Germany’s leading marketplace for loans. This transaction once again shows the strong demand among institutions for our investments which offer attractive and sustainable yields.
As you may recall, Fintex has been investing on auxmoney’s marketplace for almost 4 years; we have already financed c. €180 million of Auxmoney* loans, and we are delighted that our partnership with Auxmoney* continues to grow. This transaction was executed by our Chief Investment Officer, Sophie Batoua and her team. Sophie continues to lead our consumer lending business.
Fintex operates several private credit strategies – in Euros, Pounds and Dollars. We now have c. $150 million in assets under management. We operate managed accounts for institutional partners, and we also manage discretionary investment funds for professional investors; these are primarily aimed at family offices.
We know how difficult it is to generate income in current markets. Traditional credit, generally speaking, offers returns that aren’t exciting; in fact, they are often insufficient given the risks involved. Meanwhile: private debt has grown dramatically, and the Fintech Revolution has opened up new opportunities in tech-enabled credit. Fintex is focused on this area to make institutional-grade credit investments that offer attractive risk / reward.
Private debt is a complex asset class. The same is true for tech-enabled credit. It requires traditional credit experience and dedication – and expertise in utilising technology. Fintex applies a quantitative and data-driven mindset. We embrace technology to automate what can and should be automated. And yet, we are a traditional lender focused on solid credit quality. The tech we build enables us to make better informed investment decisions, as our long and strong track record demonstrates.
