I suppose there is some bad translation in here by you.
I didn't give any tip or suggestion as you said.
My original post translated by Google Translate from Portuguese, done in a Portuguese forum:
Rick Lusitano in 06/03/2020 at 15:45 PT hat Folgendes geschrieben: | Now an intriguing question:
Should we have at least 1 loan from each LO present at Mintos* to have access to all the information?
Since the information is now exclusive to the investors of each LO.
For example 1 loan of 0.01 EUR, so as not to lose too much money.
To avoid buying insolvent LO loans without knowing it.
Thankfully, Mintos* is a passive investment. |

What I did was a rhetoric question with the objective to be critical about the Mintos' information policy.
Because Mintos* are doing some info-discrimination, just to say the least, it recently announced that will only give detailed updates about Aforti and Rapido Finance to the investors of their loans and as we saw last week, Mintos* first informed the Peachy investors and only informed all the investors in the next day. Giving some leverage to some investors, it's considered inside information in the financial world and it's a serious crime. To some could sell (or buy) first, there must be some that didn't know anything. It's information asymmetry. Today you were in the right side, tomorrow could be you on the wrong side of the deal.
There is 3 ways to make money in the financial markets:
Be smarter
By cheating
Be faster
We must not also pretend to be innocent in here. Who didn't put for sell all the loans of Aforti, Rapido, Monego, IuteCredit Kosovo, Metrokredit and now Peachy, when you did know that they were in trouble? Or who didn't try to profit by doing some discouting trading before the SM be closed?
As Gordon Gekko said:
Gordon Gekko hat Folgendes geschrieben: | “The most valuable commodity I know of is information” |
That kind of tip suggested by Claus have some problems, mostly because the loans have a potential of being paid before the LO runs into troubles, paid by the borrowers or by the LO (BuyBack Guarantee). For that to be effective, it must be constantly managed the "Early Warning Loans" to see if they still exist and if not, continue buying them, and for that it must be available loans to be bought. _________________ Asset Allocation - https://financialawarenessforall.wordpress.com/ |

Something got lost in translation and Claus wasn´t being serious about buying those small stakes as well, as the title of this threat shows.

Absolutely, what Mintos* is doing here is hurting all investors in the longterm since it destroys trust, which further leads investors to claim higher risk premia which in turn favors shady businesses over honestly run businesses (for which those risk premias will be higher than elsewhere). Classical case of a "market for lemons"... |
