Relendex has been investing heavily in the portfolio management side of the business as this represents our direction of travel. I am sure you will have noticed that our website remains largely unchanged. This is not neglect. We are not seeking unsophisticated retail investors. Our business is growing thanks to the loyalty of our current investors as you are demonstrating your faith in Relendex by increasing your investments on our platform and recommending friends and family.
We are extremely grateful for this support as it means ever-increasingly our investors understand the nature of our lending model which is not without its issues. However, our investors taking a portfolio approach understand that it is their total return that matters, notwithstanding the inevitability that certain loans may default.
The Move towards a Full-Service Model
Relendex wants to ensure that irrespective of whether you invest directly on the platform, or we manage your portfolio for you, we can provide you with the best possible service. This clearly means that we are prioritising quality relationships over the number of lenders we have on the platform which in turn means our cost per client is rising, and sadly certain clients are no longer viable for us.
Relendex is Introducing de minimis Client Fees
We are proud that we have never previously charged our investors fees. Nor are there any bid/offer spreads on our resale marketplace. For the majority of clients this is not changing.
However, those clients holding less than £5,000 in loan parts will now for the first time be charged £25 per quarter (chargeable in arrears). Fees will be levied from 30th April 2025 and quarterly thereafter. This means that if fees are applicable to your account, please take action before 30th April 2025 to avoid being charged.
These charges will not be applied in the following circumstances:
100% of loan parts held where not eligible for disposal on the resale marketplace during the quarter. I.e. If your only holdings are loans in default, you will not be penalised.
During the quarter, your investment in loans parts is topped up to £5,000.
You sell down your tradeable loan parts during the quarter, leaving only the non-tradable ones in your portfolio.
You close your account within the quarter.
We do not want to lose you. We want to improve our investor service, and we very much want to see you prosper with Relendex, this means above all else we would be delighted to see any investor with under £5,000 on the platform increasing your participation to this de minimis level. |
