Good News About Bad News

The most significant news is the Villareal Castellon project in Spain. Despite facing severe difficulties during the winter, we have managed to turn the situation around positively. Although the loan took 537 days from issuance to repayment, investors who lent 570,000 euros earned 95,539 euros in interest and compensation during this period. It took 301 days from contract termination to recovery. Although the annual interest rate was about 11.41% instead of the planned 13.70%, this case demonstrated the high professionalism of NordStreet’s legal team.

Another successful case involves a delayed loan of 91,000 euros in Riga, which has yielded a 13.66% interest rate for investors instead of the planned 12.00%. Despite a delay of 84 days, the final result was excellent, with investors earning 18,256 euros in interest.

Battles from the Recent Spring

Last spring, four business loans without real estate collateral were terminated, and a settlement agreement was reached for one of them. One of real estate loans on M. K. Čiurlionio St. 73, Druskininkai, was also terminated. The collateral is currently being auctioned, and the borrower is actively seeking refinancing opportunities.

Another problematic loan is in Klaipėda, on Kiautrynų Street, but we see clear progress here as well. During the spring, 145,706 euros of the 200,000-euro loan were repaid. The remaining four collateralized and unsold plots are currently up for auction.

We are also fighting on the front of business loan #00107. On April 22, 2024, the Kaunas District Court fully satisfied UAB Nordstreet’s claim regarding the guarantor's concluded transaction (apartment donation). The decision was appealed, so the battle now moves to the appellate court.

Partner News

It will now be even easier for NordSstreet clients to manage their funds in investment accounts. Our partner, UAB NS Pay, has obtained a full electronic money institution license from the Bank of Lithuania, allowing it to issue electronic money and provide payment services to all market participants (such as money transfers, payment operations, issuing payment instruments, and processing incoming payments). Changing the provider of electronic NS Pay payment services will allow clients to choose from a broader list of banks or other financial institutions for instant account top-ups and withdrawals.
